Antichrist also recruited two members from Swiss group Boonfire during 1989 The Goblin (crack) and Frankieghost (code).įrom 1988 to 1990 Amok was Genesis Project's game development branch, under which label Antichrist also released the very first C64 disk magazine Sex'n'Crime #01. Snacky also invented a method for packing multiple small files into one large one, called IFFL, or Interactive Flexible File Linking. Due to Snacky's cracking prowess and flair, the group invented a new label for them, calling them "jewel versions" - a term later adopted by other groups for their special versions of games. The group's next recruit was a cracker called Snacky from the group Exact. The next recruits in 1988 were two Danes, Alf and Spike, who created the first Genesis Project demos.
In 1988 The Butterflies, later renamed The Warp System, became a subgroup of G*P through Sonax/ Mathew, but was kicked out in August the same year. Their stay was short though, and they were soon dismissed from the group.
A swapper called Freddy was recruited, and the hard core of G*P became Antichrist, Scrap and Freddy.īy the end of 1987, G*P had started recruiting outside their home town, and got their first members from the city of Cologne in February 1988 - Roli's Artworx (consisting of Dr.J and BSC) joined as crackers and programmers. Eventually Ounk and Catman grew tired of the group, and pursued other interests. The first member from outside the school was Scrap, who was already a coder and cracker, and who commenced teaching Antichrist the ropes. The first two recruitments were The Nasty Ounk and Catman, both classmates of Antichrist in their hometown of Aachen, Germany. The name was inspired by Star Trek, where the Project Genesis was the name of the device that created Earth-like conditions on previously uninhabitable planets. Genesis Project is a multi platform demo group and one of the most well known and productive C64 cracking groups of all time, formed in late 1985 or early 1986 on the C64 by The Nauseating Timelord (TNT), later Antichrist.Ī full detailed history 1986-2016 can be read in Vandalism News #65 (2016).
